The uptake of all liposomal formulations increased on average from 33% to 71% in bEnd.3 cells, 35% to 66% in glial cells and In primary neuronal cells from 33% to 65%, were observed after 1 hour and 4 hours of incubation. TAT-Tf-liposomes containing chitosan–pGFP complexes induced significantly (p<0.05) higher GFP levels compared to pVec-Tf-lip and QL-Tf-lip (7.2% vs 4.2% and 2.8% GFP-expressing cells, respectively).
