Read peptide records
Each detail page summarizes basic peptide identity, activity labels, source databases, sequence status, physicochemical descriptors, evidence records, and related records.
- Basic Information gives the stable record-level metadata.
- Evidence Records shows source-level annotations and assay details when available.
- Related Records helps compare records with similar activity or length.

View structures
Structural Visualization appears when TPDB has an experimental PDB match or a predicted structure file. Experimental structures are preferred; predicted structures are used when no exact experimental structure is available.
- Use Cartoon, Stick, and Sphere to switch representation.
- Drag to rotate, zoom with the buttons, and click residues or atoms when supported.
- Very short or low-quality predicted files may not produce a visible cartoon.

Export data
Use Download for curated CSV tables, or export filtered search results from the database. API access is available for programmatic querying.
FAQ
Common questions
Why do some peptides have no Structural Visualization?
TPDB only shows the card when a matching experimental structure or local predicted PDB file is available.
Why can source definitions be missing?
Some source databases provide activity labels without a clear public definition or assay criterion. TPDB avoids writing unsupported definitions.
What is the difference between activity and property endpoints?
Activity labels describe therapeutic or biological function. Property endpoints such as half-life, permeability, or hemolysis are shown as supporting properties when available.
How should I cite or reuse TPDB data?
Use the Download and API pages to retrieve data, and keep source database fields when reporting derived analyses.
