Activity

Neurotoxin
FUNCTION: Gating-modifier toxin that targets both voltage-gated sodium and calcium channels, with described activities on human Nav1.7/SCN9A (IC(50)=5.5-7 nM), hNav1.6/SCN10A (IC(50)=9.9 nM), hNav1.4/SCN4A (IC(50)=62.9 nM), hCav3.2/CACNA1H (IC(50)=955.4 nM or 63.5% inhibition at 10 uM), hCav3.1/CACNA1G (95.1% inhibition at 10 uM), hCav3.3/CACNA1I (90.8% inhibition at 10 uM). Acts on Cav3 currents mainly by inducing a strong depolarizing shift in the current-voltage curve. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:36912793}.
