Neurotoxin
FUNCTION: Insecticidal toxin that reversibly and voltage-independently blocks both mid-low- (M-LVA) and high-voltage-activated (HVA) calcium channels (Cav) in cockroach DUM neurons. Also causes a modest block of insect sodium channel currents (Nav). Induces potent excitatory symptoms, followed by flaccid paralysis leading to death in house crickets. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:17610847}.
