Neurotoxin
FUNCTION: Binds to sodium channels (Nav) and inhibits the inactivation of the activated channels, thereby blocking neuronal transmission (By similarity). Causes prolonged contractile paralysis in C.partellus larvae. It also has significant toxic effects on B.fusca larvae but not on mice. {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17618664}.
