Activity

Neurotoxin
FUNCTION: In contrast to other conorfamides, this peptide does not show activity on human and mouse sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptors MRGPRX1 (PubMed:30243794). In vivo, it causes hyperactivity when injected intracranially into mice, and when injected into the foot of the fresh water snail P.paludosa (PubMed:18201803). It also causes paralysis when injected into the foot of the limpet P.opea (PubMed:18201803). Has no effect when injected below the rear part of the dorsal fin of the fish L.reticulatus (PubMed:18201803). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18201803}.
