Neurotoxin
FUNCTION: Insecticidal neurotoxin that reversibly inhibits the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA)-subtype of ionotropic glutamate receptor (GRIN) and inhibits inactivation of insect sodium channels (Nav) (By similarity). Inhibits glutamate uptake in rat brain synaptosomes (PubMed:14757211).
