FUNCTION: May block sodium channels (Nav) found (By similarity). Reversibly modifies the firing of DRG neurons by causing membrane depolarization and increasing the number of action potentials (PubMed:25633390). Shows antimicrobial activity against the Gram-negative bacteria K.pneumoniae (MIC=64 uM), and only a very weak activity against S.aureus (PubMed:25633390). Does not show hemolytic activity (PubMed:25633390). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P58296, ECO:0000269|PubMed:25633390}.
